The strike is real….. I could not find a drink at a bar anywhere between the hours of noon – 4. The sportsbook is dead and 2 of the restaurants are closed, Rare Steakhouse and Red 8….. The training can’t keep with the demand. You’re told to use the mini bar in the room if you want a drink after 11 PM. Those are not indicators of a fine resort property.

Brought my elderly-handicap sister to this casino. No handicap parking spaces  were available anywhere at all parking levels. Due to an employee strike and protest the front door drop off was not set up/available or not visible to locate. The parking garage was dark and difficult to maneuver around. When I tried to drop my sister off at one of the elevator entrances we were met with beeping horns from other vehicles when I was getting her wheelchair. My sister got scared so we never made it into the casino. What a disappointment! The traffic and environment there is horrible. Probably will never return. We’ll continue our road trips to Connecticut Foxwoods.

I went last night and there were no restaurants open, no bars open, and barely any drink servers while you play. I would avoid this place unless you’re soley there to gamble until they resolve strike they’re having.

I stayed here during a conference recently. They did not notify hotel guests that multiple restaurants and services such as the shuttle service would be closed during the strike. I’m also really disappointed that they are not paying their workers a living wage and instead of doing so would rather have their employees on the picket lines for 2 weeks. I will never stay here again when coming to Boston and I hope they realize they should pay their staff a liveable wage.

They should be embarrassed. Worst casino in the northeast. It’s bad enough when functioning normal that you don’t even have entertainment or fun things to do but now a strike and you can’t even get a coffee, a bar open, a floor waitress, nothing. And icing is the slots are absolutely the tightest of any casino period. There is no comparison. $10-25 spins paying less than $100. No bonuses. No line pays just dead spins. They clearly adjusting to the strike. Shady activity. Never seen a Casino so tight that you can’t last an hour on 2k. Trash. And worst point accumulation of any casino period. Thanks for the $20 comp on losing my shirt.

Terrible time to get onto the property while their employees were protesting at the entrance. Leaving was just as bad because of the same reason. Inside: Very big and spacious. Issue with that is, it was the same machines no matter where you looked. If they were off, you’d think your were in a storage warehouse for slot machines. Played several without much interaction. That’s the worst a casino could do. Not allow the machines to entertain you. Wife and I tried different denominations and bets, but it didn’t seem to help..

Overall wonderful all around….however why i have it a 3 for service is because before the strike, the floor staff, like servers etc, never paid much mind and took a long time for someone to come around asking about cocktails, on the slot floor mostly…..since they hired outside help during tje strike, all of the floor servers etc have been very proactive in offering, asking about needing a drink….the approach you rather than having to chase them down

Extremely disappointing experience — especially after how incredible last weekend was.

We had such an amazing time at Encore last weekend that it actually gave us a reason to come back again this weekend. Unfortunately, this visit could not have been more different.

I called Encore multiple times over the four days leading up to our visit, specifically asking about the strike. I wanted to know what was actually being impacted, what the casino floor experience would be like, and whether there were things we should expect to be different. I made a point of asking because I wanted to make an informed decision before making the drive and spending our money there.

Unfortunately, the experience we were told to expect was not the experience we had.

The entire atmosphere felt completely different. What bothered me most was the feeling that no one seemed to care. We came back because we had such a great experience the previous weekend, but this time there was no sense of that same hospitality or excitement. It honestly felt like the customer was caught in the middle of something that had nothing to do with us.

And then there were people outside taking pictures of guests entering the casino and making comments/attempting to make people feel guilty for going inside. I understand that people have the right to strike and fight for better contracts. Strikes happen. But making customers feel uncomfortable, watched, or guilty for choosing to spend their money somewhere is not something I want to experience when I’m simply trying to enjoy a weekend.

What makes this even more frustrating is that we specifically called ahead multiple times because we wanted to know what we were walking into. Had we been given accurate information about what the experience would actually be like, we could have made a different decision.

Last weekend was fantastic. This weekend was the complete opposite. And unfortunately, one terrible experience can undo a lot of goodwill.

We left feeling disappointed, uncomfortable, and like our business simply didn’t matter.

Because of this experience, I don’t see us returning to Encore until next summer, if we return at all.

Hopefully someone at Encore reads this and realizes that there are customers who genuinely want to come there, spend their money, have a great time, and support the property — but they need to feel welcomed and valued when they do.

Too bad, Encore. You had us excited to come back after an amazing weekend, and this experience completely changed our mind.

Not doing a great job during the strike. Long wait for any attendant. Hardly any waitstaff, And the ones who are covering, do not know how to make drinks. Had to go to a bar and buy drinks. And pay six dollars for a bottle of water which I should’ve been able to get for free. Waited over one hour for someone to come and help unfreeze a slot machine that was frozen with money in it. Also, the cleanliness has taken a nose dive.
