UNITE HERE Local 26 has been negotiating with the Battery Wharf Hotel since March 2018. The hotel owners are set on taking away all that our members need: the right to a fair schedule, job security, affordable family healthcare, yearly wage increases, and a pension.

Battery Wharf has not agreed to language protecting women from sexual harassment and assault. They refuse to include our standard immigration language that upholds the security and safety of our members. And finally, they refuse to keep language in our contract that seeks to correct the historical discrimination of African-American workers in the hotel industry. In fact, Battery Wharf’s owners have ALREADY stopped participating in the city-wide, labor-management forum to increase diversity in Boston’s hotels.

Battery Wharf Hotel seeks to undermine our Boston values. Battery Wharf is bad for workers, bad for women, bad for immigrants, and bad for Boston. Boston Deserves Better.
